speechless!

The night before we came home from the hospital Jake was acting a bit suspicious - but I assumed it was the excitement of having Emmy and the whole family going home the following day.

Well...needless to say, he was up to something. This picture is what Emmy and I were welcomed home to on Sunday! I was speechless. He had made this arrangement of the gifts our friends and family had given us while at the hospital, went and bought my favorite bottle of wine and margarita mix, and made the signs saying "Welcome Home Mommy!" and "We Love You Emmy!". It was the perfect start to our new life as a family!!!

dad's got the hang of it!

it's a girl!!

She's finally here!

40-weeks and counting...

Let's start off saying, waiting is killing us! :)

After our 40-week appointment yesterday (and not much progress), the waiting game continues. Maybe she'll come on her own in the next few days ::or:: the other option, we'll be induced on Monday, August 25th. Just in time to watch the first Iowa game with Dad!

GO HAWKS!
Jake can't wait to have Emmy by his side during the hawks games. In preparation for the season, he ordered her some hawkeye booties, bibs and hawks onesies. She's set!

Well, hopefully our next post reads: IT'S A GIRL! We'll keep you posted. Have a great week! Jake & Katie

too cute!

Hope this works for Emmy! (need volume)

2 weeks and counting!

Our due date is fast approaching. We've got less than two weeks to prepare for this little girl! Both of us are just tickled to meet our newest addition!

At the Dr.'s yesterday they said things were progressing nicely. I asked this Dr. what she thought the babies weight was, and she, along with all the others, think it'll be an 8lber!! Nice and healthy!

The next apt. is Tuesday, Aug. 12th, we'll update any progress.

Have a great day,
The Mihalakis Family
